Spacecraft swoops close to Mercury and snaps images of its wild surface

Mercury is a thriller.

Simply two spacecraft have ever flown by means of the nearest planet to the solar. Now the BepiColombo venture, a joint Eu-Eastern science endeavor, is on the right track to orbit and intently practice the cratered planet in 2025.

As soon as BepiColombo begins orbiting Mercury in 2025 (after a large number of flybys to fall into the planet’s orbit), the probes will get started researching the planet’s elusive historical past.
