1000’s of Mexico Town citizens coated the perimeters of main boulevards Wednesday to catch a glimpse of the hearse sporting the ashes of singer José José.
The ashes of the Mexico Town-born singer have been float again to Mexico aboard an army aircraft early within the day.
A hearse picked up the casket bearing his ashes on the airport and drove to town’s downtown. Alongside the course, admirers tossed vegetation and waved to the passing automobile because it made its approach to the Palace of High quality Arts.
A tribute to the Mexico Town-born singer used to be held on the art-deco theater. An orchestra performed renditions of a few of his songs, together with “El Triste.”
Later, his ashes are scheduled to be taken to the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe after which to the group the place he used to be born.
José José died Sept. 28 in South Florida at age 71. His kinfolk had disagreed over the place his stays could be laid to relaxation.
His frame used to be cremated in Miami, and it used to be agreed that part the ashes would stay there and the opposite part could be dropped at Mexico.
Referred to as Mexico’s “Prince of Music,” his actual title used to be José Sosa Ortiz. He rose to status within the early 1970s along with his hovering ballads.
