Lilly Singh is stepping from YouTube stand-out to host on NBC late-night, changing Carson Daly.

Singh, 30, introduced her new display, “A Little Past due With Lilly Singh,” whilst a visitor on “The This night Display With Jimmy Fallon” Thursday.

“I do have a press release: Your lady is getting her personal NBC late-night display,” Singh stated. “I do suppose it is a little superior, as an Indian-Canadian girl.”

The display will get started in September, slated for the 1:35 a.m. “Closing Name with Carson Daly” slot. NBC introduced in February that Daly could be stepping down as “Closing Name” host after 17 years.

“A Little Past due” shall be a 30 minutes program with in-studio visitor interviews as neatly pre-taped comedy sketches and signature segments. 

“It’s going to roughly be like my YouTube channel, however now I’ve greater than 3 group of workers individuals,” Singh informed Fallon.

Singh’s YouTube channel has greater than 14 million subscribers, the place she writes, produces and stars in comedic and inspirational movies.  

As an actress, she seemed within the HBO drama “Fahrenheit 451,” reverse Michael Shannon and Michael B. Jordan, and within the comedy ”Unhealthy Mothers.” 

As for the brand new gig, Singh stated in a remark, “I am hoping my oldsters believe this to be as thrilling as a grandchild.”
