Kenya's Jepchirchir breaks half-marathon record

Kenya’s Peres Jepchirchir has damaged her personal international report for a women-only 1/2 marathon.

The 27-year-old ran one hour 5 mins 16 seconds on the International Part Marathon Championships in Gdynia, Poland.

Germany’s Melat Yisak Kejeta used to be 2nd in 1:05:18 with Ethiopia’s Yalemzerf Yehualaw in 3rd with 1:05:19.

Within the males’s race, Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo claimed victory in a championship report time of 58:49.

Within the females’s race, the highest 3 all ran underneath Jepchirchir’s earlier would report of one:05:34.

The main workforce went thru 10km in 30:47, whilst the possibilities of Ethiopia’s Ababel Yeshaneh and Kenya’s Joyciline Jepkosgei suffered after they fell at the 3rd lap as they went on to complete 5th and 6th respectively.
