Elephant rescued from deep well in a 14-hour operation

A crew of 50 other people have helped rescue a male elephant from a deep smartly in Dharmapuri, southern India.

Native villagers dropped banana leaves down for the elephant to consume because the rescue dragged on in the course of the evening.

The bull used to be in the end delivered to the outside the other way up, as cranes and belts lifted it to protection.
